One of the coolest and unique experiences I ever had in New Jersey was playing with a pack of wolf dogs ( a combination of a wolf and dog). Howling Woods Farm in Jackson, New Jersey allows you to interact and learn about wolves. It is a public non-profit charity that provides learning experiences about wolves and wolfdogs. All the wolves at Howling Woods have been rescued. In order to visit you need to make an appointment by phone call only. There is no fee, but they do ask for a minimum donation of $30 to help feed and take care of the wolves. If you have all the qualifications, you can even legally adopt a wolf dog yourself! Some of those requirements require a big piece of land and a fence that runs above and underground (to prevent an escape from digging). There is a total of 14 wolves at Howling Farms. Some of the wolf's names are Raven, Kotori and Naiche. Before visiting make sure you don't wear real or imitation fur, leather, loose flowing clothing, strong perfumes or cologne, anything with odor in your pockets or open toed shoes. Make sure you follow those rules, or they will not let you in the pen. There was no greater experience than hearing them howl. It is something you don't want to miss out on, it's a great experience for a great cause.
