Looking for a relaxing night by the Jersey Shore? Look no further than Island Beach State Park, New Jersey. I have been on the search for a legal spot to have a fire on the beach, and I finally found the perfect spot. This beach is one of the few beaches in New Jersey that allows you to have a fire. However, there are some guidelines that need to be followed in order to have a fire. Fires are only allowed if there are people in your group fishing. A fishing pole has to be in the water at all times. Park rangers patrol the beach and will kindly ask you to leave. The beach is open to those fishing for 24 hours. If you are not fishing, the park closes at sundown. Please also keep in mind that this park is carry in, carry out, which means all garbage brought in, must be carried out. Below I attached a few photos from my night at Island Beach State Park and a few things I did while there.

My friends and I brought a speaker and a ton of good food to cook over the fire. We brought hot dogs, burgers and steaks and grilled them over a hanging grill. And of course, what's a fire without smore's? I would recommend bringing blankets and beach chairs to relax on. Make it in time for sunset and enjoy a beautiful view over the ocean. Beware of foxes in the area. There are warnings posted and we saw some as we left. If you stay calm and avoid them, they shouldn't engage with you. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here and are definitely going to be back. Add a bonfire on the beach to your bucket list and check Island Beach State Park out. It is definitely worth the trip.
