When the weather starts to get cold, finding something to do can be a struggle. One of the best things to do when the weather is cold is ice skating. I found the perfect place to do just that. Penns Landing in Philadelphia is the coziest winter wonderland. I have been going there every single year with friends and family. Penns Landing is an outdoor ice-skating rink with the prettiest views. There are fire pits all around, where you can sit around make smores, grab delicious food and drinks. There are games to keep busy while waiting for your time to skate that include, giant connect four, cornhole and an arcade room. There is a Ferris wheel and carnival games. Penns Landing also has cozy cabins that you can rent for a period of time at a cost. In the summertime, it turns into a roller-skating. My friends and I usually make smores there and then save our appetites to grab Philly cheesesteaks at Pats. The best cheesesteaks I have had in Philly! Dress warm, grab your friends and make your way to Penns Landing for the best winter day.

Birds Eye View of New York City Doors Off Experience

One of the most exhilarating things I have ever done in my life was a helicopter ride over New York City with the doors off! During the whole entire flight, the doors are off allowing you to dangle your feet over New York City. I booked my fight through Flynyon. I opted for the option of the 30 minute flight which was well worth the extra money. My helicopter flew over the Empire State Building, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge and so much more.

I originally thought that it would be extremely terrifying flying over New York City with the doors off. However, the crew and staff make you feel very safe and secure. My helicopter ride was in September and wasn't so cold. However, it felt extremely cold while up in the air as the wind is intense. I don't recommend wearing fake eyelashes, mine almost flew off. All of the pictures I took were on my iPhone, which is securely attached to you with a harness. There are cameras to rent before your flight if you want to take professional photos. Relaxing Spa Cabin Getaway with Indoor Waterfall

Nestled in Remsen, New York is a unique cabin Airbnb. Birch Falls Spa Cabin features an 18 foot indoor waterfall with a daily massage. This space was so beautiful, my sister and I didn't want to leave. We left the waterfall running all night and it felt like we were sleeping outside next to an actual waterfall. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The price is around $422 a night and worth every penny. The host Chris is super quick with replying with any questions you might have. Birch Falls is also spotless with not one speck of dirt.

My sister and I brought our favorite food, games and just enjoyed our time away from reality. We relaxed in the tub which was my favorite part. It overlooks the wooded areas, and if you're lucky enough you can see deer and wildlife run by. We set a fire up in the back, made some smores and relaxed for a little while until it got too cold. Birch Falls was one of the best trips I have had upstate New York. The unique indoor waterfall and spa is definitely worth trip.
